Ordering repeat prescriptions
The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:
- using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
Download the NHS App and follow the prompts to register. Once registered, click on the ‘Prescriptions‘ icon along the bottom to place an order. - using the GP online system: Patient Access
If you require details about this please ask at Reception or the Dispensary; please note, this is not available for patients under the age of 16yrs.
These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.
You can also
- Tick the items that are required on the white re-ordering slip, which you will find in the bag with your medication. Once this is completed, drop it off at the Surgery; there is a white post box in the porch where you can place your slip.

Preparation Time
72 hours’ notice is needed for repeat prescriptions to be prepared
This period begins once the dispensary has received your order; therefore please bear this in mind when placing your orders online. If you order over the weekend then the dispensary will not receive it until Monday morning, making it available for collection Thursday morning onwards. In the event of Monday being a bank holiday, we would not receive your order until Tuesday, making it ready for collection on Friday.
